I’m a Writer & Performer based in Kansas City
Hi, my name is Asia. I am a writer and performer based in Kansas City. This is the place where you can find my writing samples, biography, and performing events.
Writing isn’t just my hobby. It is my passion and performing is my expression. I have been writing for over a decade, performing for nine years, and competing in slam poetry for eight of those years. In those nine years of performing, I have refined my craft to a point where I have been published both in online journals and on multiple YouTube pages for performance poetry features.
Outside of writing, I am a freelance photographer, with my specialties including portrait photography, couples and engagement photography, family photos, and concert photography. I am the Communications Director for Poetic Underground KC and Coach of the Fountain City Poets Slam Team.
When I’m not working or writing I enjoy a good cup of coffee, playing or running games of Dungeons and Dragons, and attempting to bake both breads and sweet treats. I love a cozy day in, and have become quite the cozy game connoisseur.
I am available for booking for performances, workshops, and editing sessions for written and performance work.

Asia has a clear commitment in performance to memorization, embodiment, and poignance. I strive to reach the level of dedication she demonstrates in her craft.
